Prologue — The Rockstar’s Daughter

Day one of NaNoWriMo and we’ve got the prologue locked and loaded.

You might not judge a book by it’s cover, but if the opening page doesn’t grab you, then it’s easy to walk away.

Which is why most authors write and re-write the first 10% of their book until it haunt’s their dreams. Remember, what I show here is raw and unedited.

I like throwing my characters into the middle of chaos from the first page. In this prologue, Athena has all three of her men standing centre stage.

Six/twelve months ago

Athena Galis

Another LA party filled with beautiful bodies and empty souls.

I barely took the last sip from whatever I was drinking when a waiter replaced it. He’d already slipped me his business card and asked me to pass it along to my father. Good looking guy, and if I’d been in the mood, I might have taken him for a spin before declining his offer.

But the world was full of beautiful men with willing dicks.
